Espadrilles + Confetti

I’m usually a maxi dress kinda girl, but I couldn’t resist this adorable confetti print silk dress.This print adds depth to a rather simple silhouette and the petal cut hemline flatters any figure.  Though the dress has long sleeves, its lightweight fabric makes it a great transitional garment and can be worn both summer and fall.  In cooler weather I would add a chunky sweater and knee boots.

The shoes that I paired with this dress are a new take on an old classic: the espadrille!  While espadrilles are most often seen as flats or wedges, Tory Burch offers up a fresh new perspective by designing them with a lace up platform   The blocky heel with jute trim gives a nod to the 60’s with a more “of the moment” feeling.
