If you’re lucky like me, you haven’t been hit with windy flurries and can still rock your autumn favorites. This army green anorak is a fall staple, providing just the right amount of warmth and layering on a brisk day. I love the re-worked element of the jacket with the American flag on the back. It contrasts perfectly with my striped turtleneck and patchwork denim mini. I’ve made sure to tuck the turtleneck into the skirt, so as to show off my waist without being covered up too much by the jacket. With balanced lines like these, my outfit maintains balance and just the right amount of dimension.
I could wear this top and jacket with a leather pant, cropped boyfriend jean, or with a pair of tights under any mini. Having pieces in your closet that are versatile for different kinds of weather is very important this time of year.
I’ve dressed up the casual look a bit with my fleece lined chelsea boots and applique bag. I love this purse — it’s a 1941 Coach from their runway line. A classic that I can pair with anything, any time day or night. Each piece of this outfit is uniquely detailed to stand out from others like it, which is what creating your own style is all about.
