Most people equate Carribean weather with a brightly colored wardrobe, but sometimes a girl just needs to be neutral!
Both my top and skirt are from Alice + Olivia, and their clothes top my list on my favorite closet go-to’s. A feminine silk sheath top like this is something that I can wear all year round, by itself, layered, tucked in or left out, dressed up or dressed down. Here, I’ve tucked it into a floor-length printed maxi skirt….and what a skirt it is! The pattern, fabric, and colors are married beautifully into an almost ethereal piece. I love the way it feels when I’m wearing it, and the way it flutters in the breeze.
I’ve accessorized with tassel earrings and classic layered bracelets. The earrings definitely make a statement for themselves, especially with a topknot. They could even be considered one of the star points of the entire look. This metallic Furla crossbody ties the look together with its minimalistic design and unexpected neutral color. It’s a sleek, cool shade that compliments the earthy palette of the outfit as well as my jewelry. And of course, none of my outfits of the day would be complete without a sky-high heel. This blush pink suede stacked heel with a platform serves as a “new neutral” for me, since it works with just about anything in my closet.
