New Neutrals…

I’ve noticed I’ve been in a “neutral” mood lately. This doesn’t mean that I’ve settled for head-to-toe grays, beiges, and nudes. The statement piece of your outfit can still be neutral, you just need to assure it stands out in some way. This nude maxi is my gorgeous statement today — not only because of its intricate pleating, but because of its unique metallic flecks.
I’m never short of multiple textures in each outfit, so I’ve decided to pair this maxi with a grown up crop top. The velvet pattern adds a bit of luxurious flair to this daytime look. Not only is crushed velvet very trendy right now, but it’s also something that’s instantly timeless. Because there’s so much going on in the fabrics of the clothes, I’ve opted for minimalist accessories to complete the ensemble.
An earthy green bag is just the right sleek, sophisticated accessory to complete this pairing. This particular tote is called the Audrey Bag from Thale Blanc. I love their pieces for their sophisticated, buttery leather and timeless elegance. The forest-friendly hue is also perfect for transitioning into a spring/summer wardrobe, but will still be a daily pick come autumn weather later on. I’ve finished everything off with a minimalistic nude heel, and some gold bangles to compliment the shine of the skirt. Keeping accessories simple definitely let the skirt and top speak for themselves.
