You’ll often find me in classic silhouettes – unless I find a construction too unique to pass up. That’s what this post is all about! This dress by Andreeva is a piece that is unconventional, but extremely flattering when styled correctly. Much of the designer’s work is futuristic, almost, so styling with a modern twist is key. I’ve nipped the waist of this dress with a wide, brick red belt to show off my shape and enhance the dress’ natural beauty.
My take on red, white and blue is a little less patriotic and a little more sophisticated. Deep hues (as opposed to playful brights) always elevate an outfit from youthful to elegant. This crossbody highlights the navy details in the dress, and adds a classic touch to an otherwise progressive design. The zipper in the dress and chain on the bag are highlighted by these hardware-inspired bracelets from Dylanlex. When I wear a visually-interesting dress like this, it’s the perfect opportunity to pair with edgy accessories and go all out.
So as not to go too far over the edge, I’ve dialed back the rest of my accessories. Because there is so much going on with how I’ve styled the dress, I’ve opted for sleek suede navy heels and minimal earrings. A quick swipe of brick red lipstick compliments the belt and pulls the entire ensemble together. I’d wear this to a breakfast with coworkers, a business lunch, or day of meetings with clients. It’s comfortable, versatile, and doesn’t look like anything else I own. I feel fantastic in this dress, and can’t wait to style it in different ways so I can wear it all summer long.
