It’s easy to fall back on your staple leather jacket or blazer to cover up in chillier months. But what do you do when you get tired of these go-tos? Sticking to my ’70s-inspired aesthetic, I’ve switched out my staple pieces for a beautiful retro mink and rabbit fur coat.
This jacket stands out from other fur options with it’s multicolored palette. Its interesting chevron-esque pattern is also very notable, giving the entire look another level of visual interest. Of course, I’ve paired the jacket with some decade-appropriate bell bottoms. Wide leg trousers and bell bottoms coming back into style have really created another dimension in my wardrobe that I utilize often.
This weekend look is nothing without one of my vintage bags. This particular clutch is a beautiful shade of camel, tying into some of the jacket’s hues. Because the jacket itself is so busy, I want to make sure it’s the only star of this outfit. To ensure this, I’ve kept my jewelry, shoes, and sunglasses simple and neutral. While this is the ultimate daytime look, I could always make the jacket work at night by pairing it over a solid mini dress or luxurious jumpsuit and some heels.
