This deep bordeaux velvet blazer can be dressed up or down. Here, I’ve gone a more casual route, pairing it with appliqued bell bottoms and a plain white v-neck (and of course, my vintage clutch) but it can also be perfect for more fancy occasions like a Christmas dinner or New Year’s Eve party. Wear it over an all-black ensemble for a sleek and sophisticated look, or go all out by pairing it with more textures! Beads and sequins are perfect for a NYC event.
Anything that’s appliqued puts a smile on my face. Jeans this fun and funky really balance out the dressiness of the blazer for an overall casual look. I wore this outfit to work by day, and didn’t need to change a thing to go to my holiday party that evening. Because the textures are so strong, it wasn’t necessary to rely on statement jewelry or accessories to complete the ensemble. I’ve opted for some simple rings and earrings to tie the look together.
The best part about these pieces is that they’re all so versatile. They can be dressed up to go out, dressed down to run errands, or styled perfectly for a fun day at work. With endless options to accessorize with jewelry, bags and shoes, (platforms are perfect with these jeans!) these are going to be pieces that I’ll reach for in my closet all season long.
