This time every year I get a sense of excitement…new beginnings, new challenges, and of course new clothes!

Whether you’re packing up to head back to school or organizing desk necessities that you’ll need upon your return to work, the “Back-To-” season is in full swing. Be prepared to reconnect with old peers and co-workers by wearing something that makes you feel your best. An outfit that’s comfortable and flattering is a must for making a good impression, and your trusty denim is the basic you should reach for this season.

Now that denim pieces are relevant again, you can make them your own by accessorizing with your favorite color. My favorite color for the summer-to-fall transition? Marigold. The warm yellow hues contrast perfectly with blue denim, and also look amazing against what’s left of your summer tan. Choose warm neutrals, like brown and beige, to balance out your outfits imbued with color. Add a variable to the color palette with a patterned scarf or jeweled accessory, and your outfit is complete.
