One of my favorite places to shoot in Westchester County is Untermeyer Park and Gardens. Also designed about the turn of the century, Untermeyer Gardens, then known as Greystone Gardens, was the work of William Welles Bosworth (who also designed Rockefeller Gardens on the Rockefeller Estate in Pocantico Hills) and was commissioned by Samuel Untermeyer, a wealthy New York philanthropist. The gardens have survived the test of time, as has the functional but stylish design of the trench coat.
For me, the trench coat serves as my go-to transitional piece. This coat has an A-line style that I love and is a new take on a traditional trench with contrasting plaid patterns. I styled it like a dress, with a wide belt and red heeled loafers to pop. This is a great piece that can be worn both Fall and Spring. For a weekend look I would pair this with a white tee and high waisted jeans. What’s your favorite Fall jacket?
