Denim is one of my favorite year-round neutrals, but while a color can be called a neutral based on how effectively it can blend in with other colors, ‘blending in” can still be fun!
This denim skirt from A+O takes this “neutral” to the next level with embroidery throughout, giving this look my signature ’70s vibe. In a midi length, it’s more sophisticated than a denim mini, but still feels super playful. As always, Alice + Olivia has knocked it out of the park with gorgeous, vibrant colors that make me smile. When you have a piece that plays with so many shades like this, you can choose which colors you’d like to highlight throughout the rest of the outfit. It’s another opportunity to make the overall look your own. I’ve chosen navy and gold; a sophisticated palette that is especially complimentary to my skin tone.
My funky Charlotte Olympia heels pack an extra, personalized punch, while my top and navy handbag add classic elements to the overall look. Pairing trendy statement pieces with high-quality basics creates the perfect balance. My outfit is unique and stylish without being over the top.
